They are made of stainless steel 316

with a double row of rollers and a special seal.

They are a better choice for applications where traditional bearings quickly become worn down by heavy load, rust, soiling, dust, chemicals and the penetration of water.

Extreme Bearings are designed for tough and wet corrosive environments involving heavy loads such as on conveyors, wash drums and graders in potato and seafood processing factories.

Thanks to the excellent seals, Extreme Bearings are also very suitable in dry places where there is a lot of dust in combination with heavy bearing loads such as in mining and the extraction of sand on sorting equipment, conveyors and crushers.

Technical features

Housing made of stainless steel 316.

Bearing unit is interchangeable with most known makes of housing.

Radial and thrust loads

Self-aligning, double row ball bearings to handle high radial and thrust loads.

Harsh conditions

Particularly suitable in harsh conditions and where aggressive media is used.

SS 316 has a very high resistance to chemicals and sea water.

Standard bearing insert

Standard bearing insert, so a replacement bearing insert can be found anywhere in the world.

IP66: water projected in powerful jets against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.

Easy to clean

The bearings are very easy to clean. Rounded corners and smooth surfaces both at the front and reverse side.

Multiple shaft diameters

Extreme Bearing housings are available in shaft diameters from 25 to 100 mm.

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link

So even if the bearing insert itself is made of chrome steel or strong stainless steel, in many industrial applications the housing is frequently made of plastic or lower grade stainless steel (304).
